I am surprised that this article does not mention the FACT, that almost all deep-sea bottom dwelling life will rise about 80 to 100 meters off the seabed floor DURING eclipses, and then return to the sea bottom when the eclipses are finished. It has very little to do with the visual properties of light. 

I am also pleased by the statement in the article below that various populations of animals seem to "choose" whether to migrate or not. To this I recite an age-old adage, The stars impel, they do not compel.
